Water Department Overview

The City of New Castle Water Department operates across two primary offices to manage municipal water services, infrastructure maintenance, and utility billing.

Pumping Station (Operations & Infrastructure)

Location: 5th and Broad Streets
Responsibilities:

◦ Treat, test, pump, and distribute safe potable water for residential, commercial, and fire protection needs.
◦ Maintain and repair the city’s water distribution network, pumping facilities, municipal wells, and elevated storage towers.
◦ Direct field operations and system maintenance directly from this facility.

Utility Office (Billing & Customer Service)

Location: 201 N. 6th Street
Responsibilities:

◦ Handle customer service requests, including new service activation and disconnects.
◦ Manage utility meter readings, billing inquiries, account collections, and resident concerns.
