The New Castle Police Department Records Office assists residents, legal representatives, and businesses with public records requests, fee payments, and local administrative services.
POLICE REPORT INFORMATION WILL NOT BE RELEASED OVER THE PHONE.

There is no longer a local fee required for handgun permits.
To obtain or renew your gun permit, please visit the Isp License To Carry page to complete your application and schedule your digital fingerprints. Once you’ve finished your fingerprints, Henry County residents can bring in their fingerprint/application card
to the New Castle Police Department to be processed. Residents outside of Henry County will need to see their local agency for processing. For any other questions, please call our office at 765-521-6810.
Mopeds operated within city limits must be registered with the New Castle Police Department in accordance with City Ordinance No. 3644.
